According to the draft State Budget of Ukraine for 2017, the Government will provide some funds to support the buckwheat and rye markets to stimulate production rates of the reporting grains in Ukraine, the Director of the food products department at the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Moroz declared.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, in the current year the market of buckwheat is well-balanced: there are sufficient volumes of buckwheat groats for domestic consumption. However, the domestic market segment will not grow as the population of the country is stable, and any increase of production is not planned, he informed.
In addition, Moroz stressed that promotion of the exports of grain by-products was one of the priorities for the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
