Kazakhstan’s GDP growth is projected at 1.9% in 2017, Minister of National Economy Kuandyk Bishimbayev said.
The forecast includes expectation of increase in oil production due to commissioning of the Kashagan field.
Forecast for GDP growth for 2016 is still at 0.5%, which was expected earlier. Inflation in 2016 is expected to reach 8.5%, Bishimbayev said.
Earlier Bishimbayev said that Kazakhstan’s GDP growth hit 0.1% in H1 2016.
In 2015 Kazakhstan’s GDP growth hit 1.2%, inflation stood at 13.6%. (Trend/Business World Magazine)
