Turkmenistan and Germany signed an agreement on avoidance of double taxation with respect to income and property taxes in Berlin.
The signing ceremony took place as a part of the two-day working visit of Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Germany on August 29-30.
Turkmengas State Concern also signed the memorandums of understanding with such companies as ILF Beratende Ingenieure GmbH, CIFAL Groupe Deutschland GmbH and Siemens Aktiengesellschaft.
A memorandum on mutual cooperation in the field of education and an agreement on cooperation in the field of agricultural machinery were signed with Umax Trade GmbH.
The Turkmenistan-Germany trade turnover volume amounted to $306 million in 2015.
Turkmenistan has registered 167 investment projects and contracts with German capital totaling $540 million and around 555 million euros.
German companies such as Siemens, Daimler, CLAAS, Rohde & Schwarz, Dresser-Rand greatly contribute to the implementation of long-term projects in Turkmenistan. (Trend/Business World Magazine)
