In September Russia will supply 3.7-3.8 million tons of grains to foreign markets, as opposed to 3.5 million tons forecast for August. But on the same month last year the exports totaled 4.18 million tons, the Deputy Director of the strategic management department at Rusagrotrans CJSC Igor Pavensky announced.
According to Pavensky, to date the preliminary applications for grain transhipment in September already reach 609 thousand tons of grains (1.53 million tons in September), including 569 thousand tons of wheat (1.25 million tons), and 40 thousand tons of barley (156 thousand tons). There are no applications for corn transshipment yet, although in September 2015 the index reached 131 thousand tons.
In July 1 – August 17, Russia exported 3.63 million tons of grains, down by 4% YoY (3.79 million tons). The export volumes decreased due to lowering of barley and corn supplies. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
