According to the regional agricultural departments, as of August 26, Kazakh agrarians harvested grains throughout 1.318 million ha, or 8.6% of the planned areas, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan declared.
As of the reporting date, agrarians produced 2.45 million tons of grains, up by 601 thousand tons YoY. The average yield totaled 1.86 t/ha (up 0.5 t/ha).
In particular, agrarians of Almaty region harvested 626.3 thousand tons of grains, West Kazakhstan region – 247.6 thousand tons, Jambyl region – 524.6 thousand tons, Kyzylorda region – 13.9 thousand tons, South Kazakhstan region – 419.2 thousand tons, East Kazakhstan region – 265.5 thousand tons, Pavlodar region – 88.2 thousand tons, Aktobe region – 127.7 thousand tons, Karaganda region – 24 thousand tons, and Kostanay region – 50 thousand tons.
