Last week the weather was favorable for late crops formation due to lower air temperatures and higher amount of precipitations.
Sunflower sown in the optimal and early terms is at the stage of maturation – technical ripeness and at later sown plants – flowering stage. Some regions have started harvesting works. Sunflower condition is mainly good and satisfactory. In the Central regions and in the East of Kherson region premature withering, yellowing and falling of bottom leave apparatus was observed. In the South-Western and Northern regions 1 m soil layer contains 28-37 mm, and at the rest of the territory moisture stocks are no higher than 4-18 mm.
Soybean plants are in satisfactory condition. Depending on maturation group, varieties entered different stages of ripeness. Beans maturation is observed at the plants of ultra-early sowing varieties. Fast maturing varieties are going through beans filling – ripeness. (UkrAgroConsult/Business World Magazine)
