Armenia’s economic activity index decreased by 4.7% YoY in July. This is a record figure.
A decline in the country’s economic activity has not been observed yet in 2016.
Just two weeks ago, Armenia’s Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan summed up the figures for the H1 at a cabinet meeting and was satisfied with the 4% economic growth during that period. He ordered the ministers to present these figures to the public.
However, the ministers are unlikely to do so. The H2 hasn’t shown any optimistic figures, with almost all the economic sectors recording a decline. (Trend/Business World Magazine)
