Four Kharkiv-based enterprises, part of the Ukroboronprom State Concern, have received government guarantees for taking credits to implement defense order, Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada national security and defense committee MP Ivan Vinnyk has said.
“The Groysman’s government issued guarantees, using which 10 Ukroboronprom’s enterprises will be able to receive credits. Kharkiv, as the region, received the largest guarantees – almost 2 billion UAH – that would be converted via credits into working capital of enterprises. The enterprises will be able to operate”, Vinnyk said.
He named Kharkiv Morozov Machine-Building Design Bureau (1.35 billion UAH to produce 60 BTR-4E APCs), Kharkiv Armored Plant (550 million UAH to repair 94 T-64 tanks and 10 T-80 tanks), Kharkiv Special Machine Plant (59 million UAH to repair Ural and KamAZ trucks from stocks of the Defense Ministry) and Kharkiv Automobile Plant (23 million UAH to repair MAZ and multipurpose lightly-armored transporters from stocks of the Defense Ministry)
Vinnyk said that Kharkiv Tractor Plant could soon join production of military equipment under the order of the Defense Ministry. The plant could resume production of multipurpose lightly-armored transporters.
“Jointly with the Defense Ministry with the help of the national security and defense committee we plan to resume production at this enterprise. It is planned to start producing the Ukrainian third generation infantry fighting vehicle that would meet modern requirements”, he said. (Interfax/Business World Magazine)
