Uzbekistan completed realization of 43 projects within the investment program in the first half of 2016, a publication of the Ministry of Economy and State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
The publication said that realization of 43 production objects with the total cost of $1.9 billion was completed within the investment program in the first half of 2016.
Uzbekistan completed projects on expansion of cement plant in Jizzakh, organization of production of T-250 automobile at GM Uzbekistan, organization of spinning production at Indorama Qoqand Textile (IV stage), organization of spinning production at Fantex, etc.
At the same time, the country started implementation of 72 new large investment projects with the total cost of over $3.4 billion.
About 2,000 new capacities were launched in industry sector. Production capacities were expanded at 390 enterprises and modernized at 133 production objects. (UzDaily/Business World Magazine)
