Belarus and China intend to set up a center to develop innovative technologies in the area of industrialization of scientific and technical achievements, the press service of the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus said.
The sides intend to sign an agreement on establishing a Belarusian-Chinese center meant to develop innovative technologies for industrializing scientific and technical achievements in Minsk on August 4-5, as part of the Belarusian-Chinese forum on commercializing R&D results. During the forum a number of agreements will be signed on Belarus-China cooperation in industrial interaction, financial and research interaction as well as an agreement on cooperation between the Belarusian Innovative Foundation and Chinese venture companies on developing the market of direct and venture investments. The source noted that as part of the forum a presentation of Belarus’ innovative, scientific and technical potential would be arranged, including promising projects that can be implemented together. Representatives of Chinese financial and venture funds are expected to make speeches. About 20 companies from China, including 12 venture capital management companies, are expected to take part in the forum. (BelTA/Business World Magazine)
