The southern region of Kazakhstan started harvesting grain crops. According to the regional agricultural departments, as of July 12, agrarians harvested grains throughout 83.2 thousand ha, or 9.3% of the planned areas, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan declared.
As of the reporting date, agrarians harvested 167 thousand tons of grains, with the average yield at 2.01 t/ha.
In particular, in Almaty oblast agrarians harvested grains throughout 3.9 thousand ha, Jambyl oblast – 31.1 thousand ha, Kyzylorda oblast – 4.2 thousand ha, and South Kazakhstan oblast – 44 thousand ha. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
