In January-October the foreign trade deficit in goods in Ukraine totaled $2.089 billion against $397.1 million of proficit in the same period last year, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine reported.
In particular, in January-October the exports of commodities from Ukraine totaled $29.113 billion, down by 7.9% YoY. The import volumes of goods to Ukraine totaled $31.202 billion (almost no changes compared with 2015). The export-import coverage ratio reached 0.93 (in January-October 2015 – 1.01). Ukraine carried out foreign trade operations with partners from 222 countries.
In the first 10 months of 2016 the volume of Ukrainian commodities exports to the EU increased by 2.4% YoY, to $10.87 billion, which totaled 37.3% of the general export flow. The imports of EU commodities increased by 7.9%, to $13.668 billion, or 43.8% of the general purchased volumes.
The export volumes of goods to Russia decreased by 28.5%, to $2.9 billion, the imports – by 36.5%, to $4.085 billion. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
