Russian clothing brands continue to exit the market amid a worsening economic situation in the country and falling demand. The company “Odezhda 3000”, which manages the budget clothing store chain Modis, has filed for bankruptcy. This follows from the case files of the Moscow Arbitration Court, noted “Kommersant”.
Modis operated in the Russian market since 2006 and at its peak in 2024 had 120 retail outlets. At the moment, according to “Yandex. Maps”, the network has 31 stores left, the brand’s social media accounts list 10, and its official website is not working.
The founder of Modis, Igor Sosin, died in 2020, after which the business passed to his heirs. The network’s financial problems became known at the end of 2025. In February of this year, “Odezhda 3000” notified its creditors of its insolvency, naming the Chinese importer Shanghai Newidea International Trade as its creditor (The Moscow Times).
