In most major Russian cities, the cost of dental appointments has risen sharply since the middle of last year. In Moscow, prices have increased by an average of 48% — from 1,352 to 1,996 rubles, and in St. Petersburg, the increase was 27% — from 1,182 to 1,509 rubles. Significant growth has also been recorded in Novosibirsk (+37.6%), Ufa (+22%), Naberezhnye Chelny (+27.6%) and Omsk (16.4%). A total of 27 out of 35 major Russian cities with a population of over 500,000 have seen notable price increases, as shown by a study by the communication group Progress, the results of which are cited by “Izvestia”.
At the same time, the majority of dentists in Russia work in the lower price segment. For example, in Moscow, 63% of specialists offer appointments at a cost of up to 1,500 rubles, while only 3.4% of doctors work in the range of 5,000 to 10,000 rubles, and 0.4% charge more than 10,000 rubles. A similar situation is observed in other cities, with the only difference being that the high-price segment usually starts not at 10,000, but at 3,500 or 5,000 rubles. Currently, the average cost of an appointment exceeds 1,000 rubles in 11 cities. In June 2025, this level was typical only for Moscow and St. Petersburg (The Moscow Times).
