Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine Denys Bashlyk met with representatives of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). The main topic was the DOBRO (Development of Business and Rural Opportunities) project aimed at rural development.
The participants discussed the DOBRO project, set to be approved this year, and identified priority areas for future work. They also considered the possibility of holding a meeting with international donors at IFAD’s headquarters in Rome in November.
“We thank IFAD for the well-designed project. We are confident that its implementation, in partnership with international donors, will be a significant step towards the recovery and sustainable development of rural areas, as well as strengthening Ukraine’s food security,” emphasised Denys Bashlyk.
He noted that the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture continued preparations for further fruitful cooperation with IFAD to support Ukrainian farmers and rural communities. (Government portal)
