27 new businesses will access grants worth between 200,000 lei and 600,000 lei (30,000 euros). The files were approved for financing by the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA).
The overall sum of the financing is five million lei and the resources are provided from the state budget or allocated by the European Union and the World Bank. The money could be invested in the development, modernization and internationalization of businesses.
The grants are provided through the ODA entrepreneurial support instruments: Start for Youth Programme, PARE 1+2 programme on the attraction of remittances into the economy and the programme on the enhancement of the competitiveness to export and internationalization of small- and medium-sized enterprises.
Deputy PM, Economic Development and Digitalization Minister Dumitru Alaiba said this investment would contribute to the creation of new jobs, consolidation of the rural communities and promotion of innovation all over Moldova.
Nine out of all beneficiaries work in the rural areas and 18 carry out their activity in the urban environment. Nineteen of them are businesses managed by young people and 17 – by women. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
