In October, the gross international reserves of Kyrgyzstan reached $3,149.91 billion, website of the National Bank reported.
Over the past month, gross international reserves decreased by $91.23 million. At the same time, they still remain at record high level. Since the beginning of the year, the reserves have increased by $341.8 million, and compared to October 2020 – by $205.71 million.
The National Bank uses the reserves to smooth out sharp fluctuations in the foreign exchange market. Last year, it conducted 29 interventions, selling $467,150,000. In total, since the beginning of 2021, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has conducted ten interventions, selling $454,350,000. (24.kg/Business World Magazine)
