It is planned to attract $6.058 billion to the energy sector for its sustainable development until 2035, the Chairman of the National Energy Holding of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Sydykov has announced.
According to him, 4,533 megawatts of generating capacities are planned to be commissioned at the expense of these funds. At the same time, it is planned to implement the projects through public-private partnership without burdening the state budget and the budget of energy companies. Including due to the rehabilitation of Toktogul, Uch-Kurgan and At-Bashi hydropower plants, capacities will increase by 280 megawatts.
“The generation development plan provides for commissioning of the second unit of the Kambarata HPP-2, development of small hydropower, commissioning of Kulanak HPP, construction of the Upper Naryn and Sary-Dzhaz HPP cascades, Kambarata HPP-1, a thermal power plant at Kara-Keche field, rehabilitation of the Heating and Power Plant-2,” Bakyt Sydykov said.
