In the first quarter of 2026, property owners paid 2.9 billion hryvnias in tax on real estate other than land. This is 14.5% more than in the same period last year. An additional 370 million hryvnias were received.
The largest revenues have traditionally been provided by economically active regions.
Kyiv became the leader with 596.2 million hryvnias. In fact, Kyiv taxpayers paid a fifth (20%) of the total amount of tax paid.
The following budgets also received the largest increases:
– Kyiv region – UAH 318.3 million;
– Lviv region – UAH 292.4 million;
– Dnipropetrovsk region – UAH 283.5 million.
Payers of real estate tax are individuals and legal entities, including non-residents, who are owners of residential or non-residential real estate. (State Tax Service)
