The Government continues its work to prepare the country for the next heating season. From today, applications are open for apartment buildings in Kharkiv region under the SvitloDIM programme. As part of the regional resilience plans, multi-storey residential buildings will be able to receive compensation for equipment that will ensure the operation of engineering systems during blackouts. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko.
“Homeowner associations, housing and service cooperatives, as well as managers of apartment buildings, can submit an application on the SvitloDIM website via Diia and receive assistance for autonomous power supply during prolonged outages,” the Prime Minister said.
The scheme is available to buildings in Kharkiv and Kharkiv region, except for those located in temporarily occupied territories or in areas of active hostilities.
The state will provide between UAH 100,000 and UAH 300,000 per building for the purchase of energy equipment to support critical life-support systems. The amount of funding depends on the number of storeys and entrances in the building.
To apply, buildings must open a dedicated escrow account with Oschadbank or another bank participating in the programme.
Since the programme launched on January 30, more than 1,330 apartment buildings in Kyiv and Kyiv region have already received funding totalling over UAH 335 million.
“SvitloDIM is part of the Government’s package of measures to strengthen the energy independence of apartment buildings and prepare the country for winter under the Resilience Plans,” emphasised Yulia Svyrydenko. (Government portal)
