The public joint-stock company Ukrzaliznytsia is working on the improvement of tender documents, reduction of terms of payments for supplied products and mulling the revision of the deposit payments at tenders.
The press service of the company reported that acting Board Chairman Yevhen Kravtsov gave the information at a meeting with manufacturers of products for upper elements of tracks and representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).
Kravtsov urged manufacturers to actively take part in tenders announced by the company.
He said that Ukrzaliznytsia could not repair existing tracks in full amount and build new ones. This is linked to the fact that mediators not direct manufacturers take part in tenders announced by the company. They set prices, which are almost twice more than the real cost of products.
He also proposed to sign long-term contracts with manufacturers. He urged law enforcers to check the possible collusion of tender participants. (Interfax-Ukraine/Business World Magazine)
