Ukraine’s Energy and Coal Industry Ministry did not see grounds to increase prices of electricity and it had designed a scheme foreseeing no increase in the prices of gas, minister Ihor Nasalyk has said.
“If you speak about the further growth of electricity, I do not see the grounds to increase the price of electricity in the balance sheet we will present to the NCER (the National Commission for Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Regulation). We see grounds to decrease it,” Nasalyk said.
The minister said that the increase of prices of gas was not planned.
“The ministry has drawn up a scheme which does not envisage the increase in the price of gas,” he said, adding that the proposal was being discussed by the governmental committee. (Interfax-Ukraine/Business World Magazine)
