The State Tax Service of Ukraine and the Federal State Finance Service of Belgium will cooperate in the field of tax debt management. The parties have identified priority areas of interaction and outlined the first practical steps.
The cooperation will take place within the framework of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Federal State Finance Service of the Kingdom of Belgium and the State Tax Service of Ukraine.
Effective tax debt management is one of the key factors for the financial stability of the state. That is why the State Tax Service focuses on the transition from fragmented solutions to a comprehensive management model that combines digitalization, analytics and effective interaction with taxpayers.
“It is important for us to have practical cooperation to exchange experience and implement effective solutions in the field of tax debt management and repayment. We are committed to specific results and the gradual implementation of modern European approaches,” emphasized Deputy Head of the State Tax Service Andriy Trotsko during an online meeting with the team of the Federal State Finance Service of Belgium.
The parties identified key areas for further work on improving tax debt repayment procedures. Among them:
– Creation of the IT solution “Working with Debt”, which should provide a comprehensive approach to tax debt management and strengthen the analytical capabilities of tax authorities;
– Improvement of tax legislation aimed at simplifying collection procedures, expanding electronic interaction with taxpayers and increasing the efficiency of debt repayment instruments, taking into account the principle of economic feasibility. (State Tax Service)
