The State Tax Service of Ukraine and the National Tax Administration of Poland have taken another step towards deep international cooperation. Acting Head of the State Tax Service Lesya Karnauch and Head of the National Tax Administration of Poland Marcin Loboda signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
The event was also attended by the Voivode of Lublin Krzysztof Komorski, Mayor of Lublin Krzysztof Zuk, representatives of the State Tax Service and the National Tax Administration of Poland.
“This is a new level of cooperation that takes into account all modern challenges – the security situation, European integration processes, the need to improve the quality of services for the payer,” Lesya Karnauch emphasized during the signing.
She noted that Poland was “our reliable and strategic partner, which is close to us in the most difficult time that Ukraine is currently going through”. The Acting Head of the State Tax Service recalled that one of the important projects that was successfully implemented during the full-scale invasion was the placement of state information resources of the State Tax Service in the mobile data processing center of the Republic of Poland. And this allowed the Ukrainian tax service to ensure the stability of critical information systems in conditions of war and constant attacks on infrastructure.
Despite the Russian aggression, Polish investors continue to work and develop their business. In total, there are more than 1.4 thousand business entities in Ukraine with a significant share of Polish capital. The amount of taxes paid by them for 11 months of this year is more than 6 billion hryvnias.
“An important issue is the effective exchange of tax information between our countries. We have been working on the basis of conventions that regulate this issue for many years. And there are no problems between the tax services of Ukraine and Poland,” added Lesya Karnaukh. (State Tax Service)
