According to the results of the first 5 months of 2025, Poltava region maintains a positive balance of foreign trade turnover, which amounts to $350.2 million, and foreign trade turnover of goods exceeds $1045 million.
The volume of regional exports of goods is $697.8 million, down by 27% YoY.
The leading positions in terms of export volumes are traditionally occupied by supplies of mineral products, which account for 42% of the region’s total exports. In the export of products of the agro-industrial complex of Poltava region to the markets of countries around the world, almost 18% of the total regional export is accounted for by products of plant origin, 12.4% – by the volume of supplies of fats and oils of animal or plant origin, as well as about 12% are supplies of finished food products and 2.9% are products of animal origin. At the same time, 4.8% is accounted for by exports of products of the chemical and related industries.
The volume of imports of products to the region is $347.6 million, which decreased by 17.5%.
Foreign trade operations were carried out with partners from 117 countries of the world.
The countries of the European Union are the largest trading partner of Poltava region, both in exports and imports of goods. The foreign trade turnover of products with which is almost $518 million or about 50% of the total regional trade volume with countries of the world. (Poltava Regional Military Administration)
