Only the Uspenskaya Square project in Dnipro will represent Ukraine in the Public & Landscape Architecture category.
The renovated square was opened in November 2023. The work lasted for about two years. The square has a playground, a climbing wall and public toilets decorated with steel scales. In the evening, the square is illuminated with special illumination.
About 200 trees and shrubs have also been planted there. Among them are magnolias, sakura, red oaks and Scandinavian mountain ash.
The Building of the Year award has been organized for the past 15 years by the online architecture and design publication ArchDaily, which has been operating since 2008. Architects from all over the world participate in this award. The peculiarity of the competition is that the winners in the nominations are chosen by the readers themselves. This approach gives even young but talented architects a chance to win. (ProfiDOM)
