More than two thousand jobs will be created in Kalush (Ivano-Frankivsk region) as a result of the establishment of a new industrial park in the city. The decision to include Kalush Production Park in the Register of Industrial Parks was made by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at a meeting on September 24.
“The creation of new industrial parks is a component of the government’s Made in Ukraine economic policy and an effective tool for attracting investment and regional development. Each new park means new production, new jobs and an increase in revenues to the state and local budgets,” said Vitalii Kindrativ, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
The park’s production capacities will include the manufacture of chemicals and products, furniture, finished metal products (except for machinery and equipment), non-metallic mineral products, paper, rubber and plastic products.
The project envisages the development of infrastructure that will create favourable conditions for attracting investors, expanding industrial capacity and stimulating economic growth in the region.
Currently, 92 industrial parks are included in the Register of Industrial Parks. As a reminder, in the state budget for 2024, UAH 1 billion is budgeted for the implementation of the industrial parks development programme. (Government portal)
