This year will be full of events, with plans to present Moldovan wines on international markets, according to Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA) Vladimir Bolea.
“These initiatives are part of our efforts to promote Moldova on the international stage. In addition, in June, Chisinau will host the 14th meeting of the South-East Europe Regional Experts Consultative Working Group, a valuable platform for exchanging experience and best practices in the wine sector. These efforts and achievements have been made possible thanks to the support of our development partners,” said Bolea at the National Office of Vine and Wine (ONVV) Conference held in Chisinau.
The official named among the achievements of the wine sector the opening of an office in Tokyo, responsible for promoting Moldovan wine on the Asian market.
In 2024, the Ministry of Agriculture has increased subsidies for planting one hectare of vines to 200,000 lei (10 thousand euros). (Moldpres)
