The Customs Service has launched the automatic validation procedure, which will facilitate the trade and the work of the economic agents. The initiative was launched with the support of the EU project, European Union High-Level Advisers Mission.
At the event, the head of the Customs Service, Igor Talmazan, said that the application would facilitate the enterprises’ interaction with the customs bodies.
“The procedure of automatic validation of the customs declaration at export will shorten the waiting time. Subsequently, we are set to implement the procedure of automatic validation of the customs declaration at import. All these facilities are carried out, in order to ease the work of the economic agents,” Igor Talmazan noted.
EU High Level Adviser on Customs and Tax Policy Rosario de Blasio said the procedure of automatic validation of the customs declaration would bring tangible benefits to the business environment.
“These procedures are welcome. We are set to enhance the mutual confidence between the Customs Service and the business environment for a good cooperation and the carrying out of the economic activity,” the official also said.
The procedure of automatic validation of the customs declaration provides for the digitalization and automation of the operations. While the procedure has earlier lasted from 30 minutes to two hours, now it will have about 15 minutes.
The automatic validation procedure is functional. The measure’s implementation has been tested, and in March more economic agents are to be trained as to its enforcement. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
