On November 6-12, the Customs Service collected over 756.8 million lei (about 37.8 million euros) to the state budget.
During this period, private people brought goods with the customs value exceeding the non-taxable limit, and payments amounting to over 40.5 million lei were collected, which was 5.4% of the total amount. The money collected from taxpayers is paid directly into the state budget and redistributed for salaries, infrastructure development, social projects, etc.
Past week, 12,828 customs declarations were completed, and the flow of means of transport was 48,796 crossings. The most transited customs posts remain Leuseni and Sculeni, with 18,724 and 13,187 crossings, respectively.
In the fight against fraud, 67 violations of the customs legislation were found and fines of over 431 thousand lei were applied.
Since the beginning of the current year, the Customs Service has collected about 29.7 billion lei to the state budget, up by 3.5% YoY. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
