Moldova’s potential as attractive destination for Dutch business people, as well as the investment opportunities were unveiled at a Moldovan-Dutch business forum, held in Chisinau on October 4-5. Representatives of over 20 companies from the Netherlands, experts, business people, diplomats and representatives of central public authorities participated in the event, the government’s communication and protocol department reported.
Attending the forum, Prime Minister Dorin Recean referred to the actions undertaken by the government to enhance the confidence of foreign investors in Moldova’s market. He emphasized the process of reformation of justice and economic digitalization.
“The government has a clear-cut agenda of de-bureaucratization of the economy and reformation of the justice system, which creates a safe and comfortable environment for developing businesses. I invite Dutch partners to invest in the industrialization of the agriculture, in the sector of renewable energy and in infrastructure projects – priority sectors on the agenda of our country’s development,” PM Dorin Recean said.
Also, the prime minister touched upon the opening of new investment opportunities with the advancement of the European integration process and signing of the Free Trade Agreement with the European Free Trade Association. The agreement sees the elimination of customs duties at the import of industrial products and providing concessions for the access of agricultural products to market.
On the sidelines of the forum, the participants considered Moldova’s investment opportunities and the Dutch companies present on the Moldovan market referred to the experience of businesses launched in Moldova and the ways of consolidating the Moldovan-Dutch commercial and economic agenda.
