According to the Minister of Defence of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov, the relevant commission under the Department of Military Technical Policy, Development of Armaments and Military Equipment of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has completed the necessary procedures to approve the usage of the 10th model of FPV drone.
“This is the result of joint work, and I would like to thank my colleague Mykhailo Fedorov, Army of Drones, the manufacturing company and all the specialists involved in the process. This FPV drone, like other models, is assembled in Ukraine, but mostly from foreign components. The next level is to produce the main components in Ukraine and ensure diversification to guarantee the independence and sustainability of the army’s supply under any circumstances,” the Defence Minister said.
Oleksii Reznikov reminded that over the past 15 months, the Ministry of Defence had already accepted into service/introduced into operation more than 30 models of UAVs of various types – reconnaissance, attack, kamikaze and barrage munitions. Ammunition for UAVs has been officially created as a separate category.
“All of this is being tested on the battlefield by our soldiers and modernised. Unification will gradually take place. We are now acting as flexibly as possible so that all capable development and manufacturing teams have the opportunity to prove themselves. In September 2022, at the initiative of the Ministry of Defence, the procedures for putting weapons and military equipment into operation were significantly simplified. We now complete formalities that used to take up to 2 years in a matter of weeks, with the help of the Ministry of Defence’s Accelerator. We are moving steadily. We will win,” the Minister of Defense stressed. (Government portal/Business World Magazine)
