Prime Minister Dorin Recean chaired a meeting of the Road Fund Council, held at the Government. Report was presented on the execution of the budget of the road fund allocation program for national public roads in the first five months of the year.
The need to redistribute financial means within the program was also discussed, so that the repair works of regional roads in poor condition could be carried out.
According to the report presented by the acting head of the State Road Administration, Sergiu Bejan, in January-May, about 700 million lei were spent on the repair and management of national public roads, which represented absorption of 47% of the annual amount allocated.
Recean asked the decision-makers to boost the activity of road construction and repair, and to be more demanding to keep them in good condition.
