The new Customs Code of Moldova will enter into force on January 1, 2024. The parliament adopted a draft law to this end in the second reading on March 3.
Under the document, the postponing of the term of entrance into force till January 1, 2024 was needed in order to ensure the continuity of adjusting Moldova’s legislation to the European Union’s one. At the same time, the lawmakers took into account the business environment’s opinion.
Also, the draft law regards the adjusting of customs duties on import of goods according to the combined nomenclature of goods. This will encourage the business environment to carry out its entrepreneurial activity in Moldova. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
