Seven buildings and two parks have been renovated in the western city of Terjola in Georgia’s Imereti region under the Government’s Renewed Regions programme.
The project has also involved the rehabilitation of the central Rustaveli Street in the city.
The infrastructure efforts have also seen public infrastructure updates in other cities of the region – Samtredia and Vani.
Launched in 2021, the four-year Renewed Regions programme covers 63 municipalities of Georgia, with an approximate cost of GEL 500 million (about $188 million) in its first stage.
Urban locations renovated under the projects will create new opportunities for local residents. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
