The port city of Poti on western Georgia’s Black Sea coast has seen updates to its public infrastructure as part of an ongoing state programme that has been running since 2021.
Renovation of the city’s David Aghmashenebeli Street, select public squares and 25 buildings was completed under the Renewed Regions programme.
The programme was in an “active phase” in “almost all regions” of the country.
The infrastructural initiative covers 63 municipalities of Georgia with an approximate budget of GEL 500 million (about $188 million) in its first stage.
Urban locations renovated under the projects will create new opportunities for local residents. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
