A non-refundable budgetary support worth 40 million euros on behalf of Germany has been disbursed on the account of the Finance Ministry. This financial support will back state programmes to compensate the increase in the costs of energy for the vulnerable groups.
According to the Finance Ministry, the financial means will support Moldova in implementing the governmental programme titled Assistance at Meter. Thus, Moldova’s residents will benefit from compensations in the energy invoice on the cold period November 2022 – March 2023, from the fund of reducing the energy vulnerability.
The agreement on financing concerning the promotion of energy security of the vulnerable groups was signed between Germany’s Development Bank KfW and Moldova, represented by its Finance Ministry, on November 18. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
