The cooperation in the field of taxation between Georgia and Spain was discussed by the Georgian finance minister Lasha Khutsishvili and his Spanish counterpart Maria Jesus Montero, the Finance Ministry said.
The parties expressed readiness to “further deepen” the existing cooperation in the meeting, held within the framework of the 15th plenary meeting of the Global Forum on Transparency and Information Exchange for Tax Purposes in Seville.
Khutsishvili briefed his colleague on the measures taken by Georgia to overcome the challenges in the region and stressed the importance of the automatic exchange of financial reporting information between the countries to prevent tax evasion. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
