The head of the National Bank of Ukraine, Kyrylo Shevchenko, has submitted a resignation letter. The top banker announced his move on his Facebook page.
“Dear friends, due to the health-related issues that cannot be ignored any longer, I have made a difficult decision. I am resigning from my position as the NBU Governor,” the statement reads.
Shevchenko noted that he asked the president of Ukraine to accept his resignation.
