In May, Ukraine exported more than 1.743 million tons of grains, oilseeds and by-products by all means of transport, up by 80% MoM, informed the Ministry of Agriculture on June 7.
Wheat export increase from 9.2 thousand tons in April to 43.5 thousand tons in May, down almost 20-fold YoY (857.8 thousand tons).
Barley shipments totaled 11.6 thousand tons that nearly matched 11.8 thousand tons in April, down 2-fold YoY.
Corn export totaled 959.35 thousand tons, up by 60% MoM (601 thousand tons), but down from 2.245 million tons shipped in May 2021.
Sunflower seed export rose from 104 thousand tons in April to 341.8 thousand tons in May, up almost 2-fold YoY (189.6 thousand tons).
Soybean export amounted to 66.62 thousand tons, up by 17% MoM and almost 2-fold YoY (36.18 thousand tons).
Soybean oil shipments totaled 16.08 thousand tons that nearly matched the April volume (16.38 thousand tons) compared to 20.6 thousand tons in May 2021.
Sunflower oil export totaled 202.65 thousand tons, up by 56% MoM, but down from 501.8 thousand tons in May 2021.
Export of meals totaled 101 thousand tons, up 2.6-fold MoM. In May 2021, Ukraine exported 440 thousand tons of sunflower meal. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
