The Lifosa plant has resumed production after a forced shutdown in April. 240 employees of the enterprise are back to work.
Earlier, the European Union authorities imposed sanctions against Andrey Melnichenko, the owner of EuroChem, which owned Lifosa. After that, the accounts of Lifosa were blocked and the plant was forced to stop.
Later, the Ministry of Finance of Lithuania allowed Lifosa to resume its operations under supervision. Lifosa produces phosphoric acid, diammonium phosphate and monoammonium phosphate. (Fertilizer Daily/Business World Magazine)
