Ukraine has sufficient reserves of energy resources to ensure the sustainable operation of the energy system. This was emphasized by the Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko.
“Synchronization with European networks has given us additional stability of the energy system in terms of technical flows. And we have the opportunity to attract electricity from Europe if there is such a deficit. Today there is no deficit in the system, moreover, we have the necessary reserves, and if necessary, we can add the necessary amount to the system,” said the minister.
German Galushchenko stressed that heat and hydro generation worked stably.
“Today we have a normal mode of operation, taking into account the fighting. Unfortunately, many facilities were damaged, including the CHP. But the system as a whole works. We have the necessary resources for its sustainable operation, in particular, coal for thermal generation,” he said, adding that there were sufficient stocks of coal, as well as the systematic receipt of imports.
German Galushchenko also assured that there were no preconditions for rolling blackouts: “There will be no planned rolling blackouts. To date, all blackouts that occur – due to hostilities. And the repair crews are trying to restore power supply as soon as possible in places where there are appropriate security conditions.” (Government portal/Business World Magazine)
