President Maia Sandu has approved the signing of the Financing Agreement for the project that will improve water and sewerage infrastructure in several localities, including Comrat and Soroca.
“Due to this project, thousands of households in Rascani, Cahul and Vulcanesti districts will have access to quality water. The wastewater infrastructure in the municipalities of Soroca and Comrat will also be expanded and improved, where modern treatment plants will be built. Wastewater will not flow into rivers and lakes, and residents of the two towns and surrounding villages will live in a cleaner and healthier environment, “said the head of state.
Access to quality water and sanitation services in all regions of our country is a priority of the government, but also one of the major expectations of the people.
To carry out the project, our country will contract a loan from the International Development Association, while the Austrian Development Agency will provide a grant. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
