The Georgian National Food Agency has fined 12 veterinary facilities in the western regions of Guria and Adjara for violations in the rules of labeling, storage and sale of expired drugs and for the absence of registration documents for economic activities.
A total of 49 veterinary pharmacies, clinics and pet shops were inspected by the agency in the two regions, the majority of which met the requirements, the agency said.
The public body also said it would continue to “actively inspect” veterinary facilities across the country throughout the year, adding “it is planned to inspect all facilities and increase the number of inspections.”
In 2021, 628 state inspections were carried out in Georgia, in which 144 cases of violations were identified. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
