Ukraine is implementing 25 public sector projects worth EUR 5.2 billion in cooperation with the European Investment Bank (EIB), according to the press service of the Finance Ministry.
“Currently, the EIB’s project portfolio in the public sector includes 25 projects worth EUR 5.2 billion, three more projects worth EUR 570 million are at the stage of ratifying financial agreements,” the report says.
Since 2004, the total amount of financial resources provided by the European Investment Bank in Ukraine, both in the public and private sectors, has exceeded EUR 7.5 billion.
Joint projects with the European Investment Bank are aimed at improving Ukraine’s roads, modernization of the energy sector, development of municipal, aviation and railway infrastructure, development of transport logistics, energy efficiency of public buildings in Ukrainian cities, creation of vocational education centers, support of small and medium-sized businesses, rehabilitation of the infrastructure of Ukrainian regions, including Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
