In January-September, Uzbekistan imported 331.6 thousand tons of potatoes from 13 countries for $38.8 million, the republic’s state statistics committee reported.
Potato imports increased by 83.7 thousand tons compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, Uzbekistan imported potatoes mainly from Iran (121.7 thousand tons), Kazakhstan (95.4 thousand tons), Pakistan (81 thousand tons), Kyrgyzstan (17.4 thousand tons), the Netherlands (10.6 thousand tons), Russia (4.4 thousand tons), France (616 tons), Afghanistan (374.6 tons) and Germany (66.3 tons).
