Uzbek state agency UzAssets has unveiled the list of the most profitable and unprofitable state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in the country.
The number of SOEs in the country currently stays at 2,578.
Top-10 by profit: Almalyk mining and metallurgical complex – $370.9 million, Uzbekneftegaz – $323.3 million, Ferghanaazot – $27.8 million, Uzmetkombinat – $20.8 million, Hududgaztaminot – $20.1 million, Coca-Cola Uzbekistan – $19.6 million, Ucell – $19 million, Uzshaxar qurilish invest – $16 million, UzAutosanoat – $15.2 million and Commodity exchange – $9.8 million.
Top-10 by losses: Uztransgaz – $332.9 million, Uzbekistan Airways – $71.9 million, Toshissikkuvvat – $57.5 million, Tashkent metallurgy plant – $36.1 million, New Angren TPP – $23.3 million, Uzbekcoal – $17.5 million, Angren TPP – $16.9 million, Grand Road Tashkent – $8.5 million, Pahtakor football club – $7.9 million and Angren Heat Energy SUE – $5.2 million.
