In February, the growth of Ukraine’s retail trade turnover was 5.6% compared with 3.5% in January, according to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Agriculture Development.
In January-February, Ukraine’s retail trade turnover increased by 4.6%.
“The positive dynamics of the industry, first of all, shows the resumption of activity in most areas of the economy and the improvement of consumer sentiment. Among positive factors is an increase of social standards and government support of business and population,” Minister of Economy, Trade and Agriculture Development Ihor Petrashko noted.
In January-February, the highest growth in volumes of retail sales were recorded in Kyiv region (+11.9%), Chernihiv region (+8.3%), Chernivtsi region (+7.8%), Odesa region (+7.7%), Zaporizhzhia region (+7.6%), Zakarpattia region (+7.1%), Dnipropetrovsk and Vinnytsia regions (+7%), Ternopil region (+6.7%), Poltava region (+5.9%), Ivano-Frankivsk region (+5%), Luhansk region (+4.4%) and the city of Kyiv (+4%).
