In 2020, the Kyiv metro carried 279.5 million passengers, down by 215.8 million, or by 56% YoY, Deputy Chairman of Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Hustieliev announced.
“The coronavirus pandemic and quarantine restrictions affected the number of passengers carried in the past year. However, the leading stations in terms of passenger traffic remain unchanged. Thus, Akademmistechko remained the busiest station in 2020. It was used by 12.5 million Kyiv residents and guests of the capital. Traditionally, the smallest number of passengers was recorded at the Dnipro station (555 thousand),” he said. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
