Wizz Air considers the Ukrainian air passenger market strategically important and makes plans to expand its presence.
“Wizz Air Chief Executive Officer Jozsef Varadi underscores that the Ukrainian air passenger market is strategically important to the company and Wizz Air is making plans to expand its presence,” the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine reports.
Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladyslav Kryklii added that the domestic aviation industry had positive dynamics and the expansion of Wizz Air presence would contribute to its development.
He also recalled that making air travel more affordable for Ukrainians, increasing passenger traffic through Ukrainian airports and developing regional airports were priorities of the Infrastructure Ministry. In particular, the strategic goal of the Ministry is to increase the share of low-cost airlines in Ukraine’s aviation market up to 45% this year. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
